Lynda was born and raised in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York and relocated to Florida in 2005.
Her passion is serving animals and in the late 80’s worked as a Veterinary Technician and Assistant Manager at Wayne County Humane Society, then in 1993, earned a license to work as a State Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator.
Prior to arriving in Florida, she practiced in Colorado as Director of Rehabilitation at Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center; and once she landed in Florida, practiced as Lead Rehabilitator at Pelican Man Hospital and Sanctuary, and Peace River Wildlife Center part-time while working Operations and Human Resources for various Trades companies.
She earned a BA in Human Resources Management from South University and holds several Wildlife Certificates to include an Oil Spill Certification where she was able to assist with the medical care and wash of wildlife after the Cosco Busan oil spill in San Francisco in 2007-2008 and again with the BP spill in the Gulf.
Lynda has a beloved rescue Great Dane, Merlin; a rescue cat, Kitten Britches; and enjoys boating, travel, hiking, hockey, vintage muscle cars, theme parks, extreme rides, time her friends and plans to skydive, take up surfing, and scuba this year.
